Stop Losing to Bad Logic

Logical Fallacies for Lawyers

Thursday, November 6, 2025

12:00-1:00pm

Topeka Shawnee County Public Library

Good arguments fail when they’re built on bad logic. In this fast, practical session, Jay Hall walks through the most common logical fallacies lawyers encounter—straw man, ad hominem, slippery slope, false cause, and more—and shows how to spot them, avoid using them, and punch holes in them when opposing counsel trots them out. Bring your real-world examples; leave with sharper tools for motions, negotiations, and trial.

Note: Lunch isn’t included, but the Millennium Café next door is open if you want to grab something before or after.

Thursday, November 6 | 12:00–1:00 PM
TSCPL Marvin Auditorium 101AB
