Impeachment Program Summary
This 50-minute CLE will be a practitioner’s look into the nuts and bolts of Impeachment and related concepts under the Rules of Evidence. This program is not intended to be a lecture on the breadth and depth of impeachment in all of its intricacies. Instead, the tip, tricks, and how-to’s shall be focused to benefit the extremely busy trial lawyer.
Christina Kerls
Christina Kerls has been a member of the Kansas Bar for 16 years. She graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 2005. Christina has spent her career with the Kansas State Board of Indigent Defense Services. She worked as an Assistant Appellate Defender for 11 years, an Assistant and Deputy Public Defender at the trial level for three years and is currently the Assistant Training Director with the agency. Christina has been working as an assistant adjunct professor at Washburn University School of Law since 2007, coaching various trial competition teams and assisting with several different trial skills classes. Additionally, Christina has served as faculty for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy’s trial skills programs.
Jonathon Noble
Jonathon Noble has been a member of the Kansas Bar for 12 years. He graduated from Washburn University Law School in 2010 and is licensed in Kansas and Missouri. He began his career working at Kansas Legal Services before moving over to the Lyon County Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted domestic violence and property crimes for four years. After a three-year stint at the Attorney General’s Office prosecuting financial crimes all over the State of Kansas, he went back to public defense. He now serves as the Chief at the Northeast Kansas Conflicts Office trying all manner of felony cases. When not herding his three rescue dogs in his spare time, he assists in coaching and adjunct teaching Trial Advocacy at his alma mater.
